Crispy kale is one of my absolute favourite healthy snack foods. Roasted in the oven with coconut oil and cumin, it’s simple to make and super tasty. This is a variation on that recipe with a brand new vegetable that’s fast becoming a supermarket staple.

Dairy Free Herb Dip
The really frustrating thing about avoiding the specific foods that trigger skin problems, is creating sauces and dips with really limited ingredients. With tomatoes and dairy off the menu for most, it can be tricky coming up with tasty combinations.
Woodburner Roast Chestnuts
I can’t take the credit for this simple, traditional beauty. But I love it and wanted to share it with you!
I adore chestnuts and Christmas is the one time I find them easy and cheap to buy. I must admit I usually buy the pre-cooked sort to add to nut roasts or to mix in with shredded savoy cabbage and flaked almonds, but there’s nothing quite like roasting whole chestnuts and eating them whilst they’re still warm.

Bar in a Bag
Irish based elite nutrition company Wyldsson have made it so ridiculously simple to create these bars straight out of a bag, they’re wonderfully nutritious and a perfect travel option.
Not only have Wyldsson put a gorgeous cinnamon flapjack mix together, they also supply the silicone baking tray and nut butter to make life even easier. Simply add a couple of bananas and an egg and you’re good to go.
High Protein Besan Bread
As the British weather gets a little cooler I’m back to making earthy, autumnal soups. I love bread with my soup but very rarely eat gluten these days. The beauty of this loaf is its high protein content. Chickpea or Besan flour is gluten free and contains a higher proportion of protein than other flours.
The other brilliant thing about this loaf is its simplicity and the fact it involves no yeast – so you don’t have to wait around for the dough to rise
Gluten Free Cranberry Cookies
Last month I styled food on a photo shoot with an awesome brand called Ninja. The girls I worked with on the day were lovely ❤ The first thing Lindsey said to me was … you will love this machine and want one. She was right!!
It’s an absolute joy to work with fantastic people and products and the Ninja is outstanding. I never truly understood the point of spending money on a high powered blender when surely a 30 quid food processor would do the same job. After all, they both have sharp, spinning blades right? But the Ninja is so much more than that.
Chewy Nutty Clean Flapjacks
My two favourite kitchen staples to work with right now are Wyldsson and Lucy Bee. My cupboards are always stocked with coconut oil, muesli, clean trail mix and nut butters. Together they make the most delicious salted caramel, toffee style desserts and this weekend …. flapjacks!
Thanks to @applescrapples for requesting this one. I love flapjacks and my favourite ones are light golden brown on top and chewy in the middle. These are super easy and really don’t take long to make. Perfect for summer (still waiting for that!!) picnics.
Garbanzo Patties + Garlic Hummus
I’m loving the summer weather this week! Rather than cook big, heavy meals, there’s nothing better than creating some delicious mezze or tapas dishes to enjoy with friends in the daytime sunshine.
This is such a simple, inexpensive recipe. You don’t need an absolute ton of ingredients and I guarantee you will absolutely love these garbanzo patties.
Garbanzo is essentially a posh name for Gram or Chickpea flour. If you’re struggling to find it in your regular supermarket, check out your nearest Asian grocery store or buy a bag online.
Home Made Hummus
I love this simple picnic dip. It’s brilliantly easy to make and I much prefer the taste and consistency to the shop bought version. It also stores perfectly in the fridge for a few days so you can make it in advance or enjoy it over a weekend.
Cookie Dough Powerballs
If I had to name my very favourite Ben and Jerry’s or Haagen Dazs ice cream combo, it would without doubt be Cookie Dough ❤ As a child I never really understood the point of baking cookies. The dough tasted so much better raw, before it went in the oven. Why ruin it by heating it for half an hour!!
